Primacy – Session 02

With their smuggling plan tentatively approved, the adventurers must now successfully secure their mysterious cargo aboard Dorian’s shipment before departing Shatar. Ahead lies the river journey to Crimmor, filled with uncertainty, potential threats from river bandits, and the possibility of intrigue awaiting them at their destination. Bonds will be tested, secrets may surface, and the party will soon learn just how dangerous their new venture might become.

The Recap

The party departed Shatar with a clever smuggling plan in place—Armand carried a decoy box while Mika glamoured the real one to appear as an ordinary book. Hobrick and Lenna accompanied the group aboard the barge. The first day passed without incident, but on the second, the River Rats arrived, led by Bruul, a lieutenant of Verek. What began as posturing quickly turned violent. The party struck first, eliminating three of the four attackers, including Bruul. Kalen took the only hit. The surviving River Rat was spared, the bodies were disposed of in the Alandor, and the party claimed a small boat and weapons as spoils.

Upon reaching Crimmor, they passed customs without issue. While the barge was unloaded, the party met with Arlan Mursk, the merchant contact. Impressed with their handling of the job, Arlan offered them a choice: join his soon-to-be-formed company or strike out independently and work under contract. The party was paid generously—and now stands on the edge of something larger.
