House Ulvax

Once Rivals of the Dragon Lady, Now Lords of Esmeltaran’s Foundations

House Ulvax was once a powerful Amnian merchant family whose fortunes nearly rivaled those of the Ophal family—until the spice war turned against them. Forced to abandon Crimmor and Trademeet, they reestablished themselves in Esmeltaran with cunning and coin, investing in real estate and buying stakes in large mercantile firms. Though their presence in national trade has waned, their wealth has not.

Today, the Ulvax family operates from shadowed estates in Esmeltaran, pulling strings through boardroom deals, quietly reclaiming power with every lease, title deed, and silent share. Though they avoid open conflict, the old enmity with the Ophals still simmers beneath the surface—and few believe it is truly over.

The resulting bloodshed forced the newly formed Council of Six to intervene. As instigators, the Ulvax were stripped of their spice holdings and forbidden from operating in Crimmor or Trademeet.

Relocating to Esmeltaran, the Ulvax traded prestige for security—and profits. Though many whispered their fall was permanent, the Ulvax proved otherwise through shrewd investments and an ironclad grip on property rights.
